Clinical Trial Leadership: Prof. Lu is the principal investigator of the MIZAR-005 Phase Ib/II trial (NCT06473961) evaluating GC101 TIL therapy in advanced NSCLC. The trial is currently activating recruitment at Shanghai Chest Hospital.
Prof. Shun Lu is the principal investigator for the MIZAR-005 GC101 TIL therapy Phase Ib/II clinical trial in advanced non-small cell lung cancer. This study evaluates the safety and efficacy of GC101 in patients who have progressed after platinum-based chemotherapy and anti-PD-1 immunotherapy.
Launched the Phase Ib/II trial of GC101 TIL therapy in advanced NSCLC — the first TIL therapy study for lung cancer in China to use a no-lymphodepletion, no-IL-2 regimen.
Prof. Lu has led numerous Phase I–III clinical trials for novel lung cancer therapies including targeted therapies (EGFR, ALK, ROS1 inhibitors), checkpoint inhibitors, and combination immunotherapies. His team manages one of the largest thoracic oncology patient populations in China.
Prof. Lu's research spans the full spectrum of thoracic malignancies, with a focus on developing novel therapeutic strategies for patients who have progressed on standard treatments. His group has been at the forefront of bringing innovative cell therapies — including TIL therapy — to the lung cancer treatment landscape in China.
